Relationship Calculator

1. Go to the Tools menu bar to find the relationship calculator.
2. The Relationship Calculator will take any two individuals in the file and calculate the relationship between them.
3. In the Relationship Calculator field, click Search in the top half of the screen to find the First person.
4. Type the RIN if you know it, or click Individual list to find the individual.
5. Click OK.
6. Click Search in the bottom half of the screen to find the Second person.
7. Type the RIN if you know it, or click Individual list to find the individual.
8. Click OK.
9. Click Calculate to calculate the relationship.
10. The relationship will be listed in the Relationships field, and the line of ancestors between the two individuals is listed in the Common Ancestors section.
11. Click Close to exit out of the Relationship Calculator.
